Inside Our Guangzhou Handbag Workshop

See the work behind a finished handbag

This page brings together existing photographs and footage from our Guangzhou handbag production environment. They show practical stages of development and construction, from preparing patterns and leather components to finishing and checking completed bags.

Development and material preparation

Pattern preparation translates the design into components. The team considers dimensions, leather behavior and the construction sequence. Color, texture, thickness and surface condition are reviewed with the intended shape in mind. Read about handbag prototype development and our material selection approach for the decisions to address in your brief.

Cutting, assembly and stitching

Patterns guide the preparation of body panels, handles, trim and smaller components. Cutting considers the grain, surface and usable areas of the material. Prepared pieces are assembled and stitched using skilled handwork and appropriate workshop equipment. The combination depends on the design and does not mean that every operation is performed by hand.

Finishing and inspection

Finishing includes attention to visible construction details and thread ends. Completed bags are reviewed for material appearance, shape, handles and straps, stitching, edges, hardware operation and interior condition where applicable. Requirements particular to your project should be recorded against the agreed specification and sample.

Preparation for delivery

Finished bags are cleaned, supported and protected for packing. Packaging depends on the bag size, materials and order requirements. Brand labels, dust bags and presentation preferences should be discussed alongside the product rather than left until the end of a production enquiry.
